Dr. Who?

So, I've been watching the long awaited new Dr. Who Episode.

Just a quick few comments thus far as I get back to work.

Episode 1: Rose - Well you have to start somewhere, and this episode does the trick. Decent for a first episode, with all the expected first episode stiffness. The main purpose of the episode is the set the stage for the future, give you an idea of what/who the Doc is and introduce his new companion, Rose. The alien baddies bent on taking over earth was just an aside really. I find myself missing the old Doctor's quirky sense of humor though. This one's seems a bit force making the Doctor seem funny in a more...er...stalker variety than quirky.

Episode 2: The End of the World - Better than the first, feels more like the sort of stuff the Doctor usually gets up to. Nice SFX, decent little Whodunit story, cheesy looking tree people.

Episode 3: The Unquiet Dead - Now THIS is Dr Who! All the elements I loved about the original show including the incidental meeting with "Charlie" Dickens on Christmas Eve. Can't go wrong doing a Dr. Who story in Victorian England. The Unquiet Dead had myself and the mad angel of Periwinkle in focused curiosity from the beginning.

More late, when the Aliens of London arive....
